A women’s infertility treatment clinic.
Instead of creating an enclosed, sterile environment, Tezuka Architects proposed that patients would benefit enormously from transparency and the presence of nature.
The central building houses advanced medical treatment facilities while patient rooms are placed along the perimeter to ensure privacy and maximise views to the surrounding forest.
More than half of the built footprint of the clinic consists of covered outdoor space and courtyard areas, where patients are encouraged to meander and enjoy the landscape.
The graphic design, accessory design, and general project supervision was undertaken by Taku Satoh.
